I have over 30 years experience in all aspects of Estate Agency and a proven track record in both the independent and corporate world. I was a chief decision maker within Romans, serving as a shareholder and MD during my 22 years with the company, and a part of this highly successful group’s growth and innovative thinking, not to mention impressive results over an extended period of time. More recently I have enjoyed considerable success in the corporate world as MD for Countrywide Thames running multiple brands and returning them to good levels of profit with considerable growth year on year.

Change has and always will be a key focus in order to stay one step ahead of the competition. I am experienced in coaching developing and training sales people to deliver results, and am a strong motivator and first class in project delivery and strategic thinking.

I am now engaged as a Non-Executive Director to a number of Estate Agency and Prop Tech companies, providing mentoring, coaching and training solutions as well as executing acquisition and exit strategies. My aim is to give Estate Agents a competitive edge over their Competition by being the best trained and most knowledgeable specialists in their areas through mentoring and training. It is my belief that Estate Agency is a people business rather than a property business and people will buy from people they trust and like. It is therefore important that attention to detail is second to none and that world class customer service is delivered. This starts with the basics and making sure these basics are being undertaken exceptionally well and that every Office has minimum service standards.

Secondly, valuations are the lifeblood of this business and without these you might as well shut up shop and go home. As the market is extremely competitive it is imperative you find ways of differentiating yourself and therefore I go through the valuation process to establish ways to do this. My third objective is that every Office and individual have personal and business goals and objectives to get them to strive to a higher level by ensuring they have a strong foundation & excellent product knowledge and through regular reviews, keeping that level high.

Steve Meade

Having worked in the sales, marketing and training sectors all of my life, I have a wealth of experience which I am currently sharing with a host of Estate Agents and Prop Tech organisations throughout the UK. I have run operations in the past where I took charge of extremely large sales teams and pride myself on being able to acclimatise to any situation I find myself in. My managerial experience has proved priceless in my man management of people in the past and I always look to owners of businesses to see exactly where we can look to improve business culture and strategy.

I am a huge fan of Leadership & Management training with a constant eye on the existing culture within the businesses I work with; so often in the past I have seen great people promoted to management roles and then left to fend for themselves with devastating impacts on both the individual and the business. This cannot be right; the skill sets of both the novice manager and experienced, seasoned campaigners, should always be nurtured.
